PRIVACY
Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how JayPlans Inc. (“JayPlans,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our public website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device when you visit a website. They can help a website operate securely, remember choices, understand how visitors use the site, and measure marketing activity.
We may also use similar technologies, including browser storage, pixels, and tags. In this policy, we refer to these collectively as “cookies.”
2. How JayPlans uses cookies
Essential technologies
These technologies are required for security, basic website operation, navigation, consent management, and features you request. They cannot be disabled through our cookie-preference tool because the website may not function properly without them.
Analytics technologies
With your permission, Google Analytics 4 helps us understand how visitors use our public website, including which pages are visited and how the site performs. We use this information to improve the website and our content. We do not intentionally send financial account information, intake responses, planner conversations, names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other sensitive client information to Google Analytics.
Marketing technologies
With your permission, Google Ads helps us measure advertising campaigns and understand whether an advertisement led to activity on our public website. Google may associate website activity with information it already holds about you under its own privacy terms. JayPlans does not sell personal information. We do not use authenticated financial-platform activity, financial data, planner conversations, or intake information for advertising audiences.
3. Your choices
When you first visit our website, you may:
- accept all optional technologies;
- allow essential technologies only; or
- choose individual categories through Manage Preferences.
Analytics and marketing technologies remain disabled unless you permit them. You may change or withdraw your choice at any time by selecting Cookie Preferences in the website footer. A new choice applies to future activity. Withdrawing consent does not reverse processing that occurred before your preferences changed.
Your browser may also allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may affect website operation.
4. Cookies and technologies currently used
Optional Google technologies do not load until the matching category is accepted. Microsoft Bookings and Stripe are shown only when you request those features.

5. Third-party providers and international processing
Some providers may process information outside Alberta or outside Canada, including in the United States or other countries where they or their service providers operate. Information processed outside Canada may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions and may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement authorities, or regulatory bodies in accordance with applicable law.

6. How long we keep information
The duration of an individual cookie depends on its purpose and provider. Some cookies expire when you close your browser, while others remain for a set period. We retain our browser-side record of your cookie preferences for up to six months unless you delete it earlier, withdraw your consent, or a policy update requires us to ask again.
Analytics and marketing providers may apply their own retention periods. Where configuration is available to us, we aim to use reasonable retention settings consistent with the stated purpose.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when our website, technologies, providers, or legal obligations change. The Last updated date at the top shows when the policy was most recently revised. If a change materially affects your choices, we may display the consent prompt again.
